novartis is currently searching for a category manager manager to join the procurement team in prague.
the category manager nto (novartis technical operations - drug manufacturing) indirect spend provides category leadership for a (sub)-category of spend (indirect, capex and opex) and acts as business partner to nto sites / nto cluster procurement and tactical buying teams. the candidate is responsible to implements the strategy provided by the global category teams for nto indirect spend in the region or globally.
- you will be responsible for soliciting proposals/quotes, contract negotiation, coordinating performance warranties and resolving suppliers related issues. - you will align with country specific goals, the global procurement team and business stakeholders' goals. - continuous analyses, frequently updates of the category plans as well as the oversight and support of the strategy execution. - we need you to ensures the delivery of measurable value for novartis, through alignment of business requirements, strategic sourcing expertise, supplier market intelligence, financial productivity and mitigation of risk to ensure maximum value and compliance to legal and auditable,

the ideal candidate will have:
- bachelor's degree required at a minimum, master's degree preferred, in fields such as business administration, finance, engineering, scientific or technical fields. - cips or similar qualification - excellent written and oral english and german - minimum 5 years in similar or equivalent positions in a global/regional environment in an equivalent position. - good understanding of operations and business culture of multinational company, cross cultural working, international experience.
